Cotton prices fell across Asia in September after New York's correction. Indian spinners lowered their yarn prices in response. Chinese yarn prices held, as mills had already cut their operating rates. Pakistan remained firm, although local cotton has now started to fall.

In China, weak demand kept yarn prices almost flat.
