30 October 2012 - Vietnam's apparel could be offered duty-free access to US market, under currently negotiated TPP agreement. US textile industry requests a yarn-forward rule of origin to avoid any new surge in apparel imports from Vietnam, which would depress yarn exports to Central America. The rule would actually boost textile investment in Vietnam, from around Asia.
