25 May 2010 - US imports of cotton trousers continued surging from China in the first quarter. In the second year without quotas, China already dominates the women's market while South Asia struggles on the men's market.
6 April 2010 - EU's imports of cotton denim trousers continued surprisingly rising in the last year, although less significantly than in 2008. Imports rose at a lower pace from China in the second year without quotas. Chinese unit values however stayed at a very low level, with only Bangladesh and Pakistan offering lower prices, as reflected by our series of statistical tables.
5 April 2010 - US imports of man-made fiber trousers surged from China in 2009, after the removal of quotas resulted in a sharp decline in Chinese prices. Vietnamese shipments stopped rising, as a consequence, however less suffering than imports from other countries in Central America and Asia.
23 March 2010 - US cotton trouser imports (excluding denim and corduroy) continued last year declining with shipments from China however surging. Chinese prices heavily fell, negatively affecting competitiveness of Bangladesh and Vietnam on both men's and women's markets.
19 March 2010 - Overall US imports of cotton trousers last year declined although shipments surged from China. Most origins are being progressively eliminated by US buyers in the post-quota period with only Bangladesh and Vietnam taking advantage of lower prices.
