23 August 2016 - Polyester prices have remained relatively stable in the past months, with spun yarn prices also staying rather unchanged, by contrast with the volatility of cotton fiber and yarn prices. Our monthly report compares polyester staple fiber and polyester spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan, in both local currency terms and US$ terms. Gross margins of spinners are also calculated on a monthly basis. Historical data back to 2007 are available for download.
23 August 2016 - Cotton yarn prices have significantly dropped in the last weeks in China, however not as rapidly as cotton fiber prices, with margins therefore rising at spinning mills. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. 17 August 2016 - Cotton yarn prices have begun slightly receding in India, in lin with a decline of cotton fiber prices. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic markets in Ludhiana (Punjab) and Indore (Madhya Pradesh), with a wide range of products and counts, including cotton yarns (carded and combed), polyester spun, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose and polyester-acrylic. Export market prices are also available for both cotton and polyester-cotton.
