18 January 2017 - Cotton yarn prices are now slightly rising on the domestic market in India whereas more sharply increasing on export markets, after cotton prices have climbed to higher levels in India and on the international market. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including combed cotton, poly-cotton, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends in spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.
17 January 2017 - The fall of the reminbi has erased the rise of yarn import prices in dollar terms, in the last four weeks in China. Imports have sharply rebounded at the end of last year, as reflected by our November trade data. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. 16 January 2017 - Polyester prices have risen across the board in December in China, India and Pakistan with spinners trying to raise their prices in line with the rebound of their material costs. However, margins have suffered at spinning mills, if considering the 100% polyester spun yarns. Our monthly report compares polyester staple fiber and polyester spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan, in both local currency terms and US$ terms.
