23 January 2003 - Russia's wool textile industry is far from recovering from the collapse of the soviet regime, according to just released studies commissioned by Australia's wool body, the AWI. As a result, Russia's imports of Australian wool will not bottom out in the short term.

27 July 1999 - After eight years of permanent crisis, the Russian government has decided to revamp the domestic textile industry. A package of specific measures could be announced within two weeks, Prime Minister Sergey Stepashin has affirmed.
