28 January 2015 - Indonesia's apparel exports began significantly slowing down in 2014, amid higher labour costs and with the national currency no more falling. The higher export prices compared with rival Asian countries have negatively affected demand from the US market, by far the leading destination of Indonesian clothing exports. The country however retains an advantage in a series of product categories, as reflected by our detailed tables. 13 January 2015 - India and Indonesia have taken advantage of lower currency values with their prices sharply declining on the European import market, in the first three quarters of 2013. Buyers ordered cheaper products from China, thanks to a shift to lower quality products. Turkey and Tunisia remained at the higher end of the market, by contrast.
