9 September 2010 - Cotton yarn export prices remained very firm in the past weeks in Pakistan but did not rise further, as foreign buyers expected a decline in the coming period and refrained from ordering. Market activity should rebound after Eid holidays later this month.
6 Septembre 2010 - Cotton yarn prices were raised in the past weeks in Pakistan, due to a fall in offer after heavy rain and floods affected production and transports. Export restrictions may be imposed later in the season if necessary, our Pakistan Correspondent reports.
1 September 2010 - Viscose prices are remaining very stable in Pakistan where yarn prices are being boosted by the floods. A lack of transport and electricity is curbing production at spinning mills, with prices therefore rising, our Correspondent reports.
31 August 2010 - Polyester yarn prices did not move in the past weeks in Pakistan, while the textile production was deeply affected by devastating floods, our Correspondent reports. The situation is however improving, although still far from normal.
30 August 2010 - Cotton yarn prices further fell in the past weeks in China, over weaker demand from downward textile and clothing industries. Demand is progressively shifting to other fibers, with polyester and viscose yarn prices on the rise, as a consequence.
