10 April 2012 - Until last year, China has been able to offer a cheap manufacturing cost and a huge labor pool, while the world apparel market has been benefiting from its decreasing unit prices for the past 20 years. Yet, according to a World Bank report, China is now moving to a new era of transformation and faces major challenges in its labor market namely, being unable to control wage increases.
