Asia pays a high price for accessing the US apparel market (Statistical Report)

1 August 2006 - US tariffs are still making a strong difference for accessing the apparel market. While an extra-cost of up to 22% is added to products from Asia, shipments from other regions are only subject to import duties averaging 0.1% to 3% of their original value, by contrast.
