23 May 2002 - Ivory Coast was last week designated by president Bush as a beneficiary sub-Saharan country under the AGOA (African Growth and Opportunity Act). Thanks to the US duty-free status, the former French colony hopes attracting foreign investments if the country returns to its former political stability.
